Read this carefully before registering your team for a championship

Registration rules:
  • You must enter 6 players/team minimum, give the email address where we can contact you anytime.
  • You can add or remove players by writing on the “Roster Change UL1” topic on the ET Forum. This allows all the admins (and your opponent of the week) to see that the player is indeed eligible to play. The players will be added only once a week: on Wednesdays.
  • A player can play for only 1 team. A player, already playing in the league, is allowed to change team only once during a single season.
  • If a clan has 2 teams in the league, no switching will be allowed between the 1st and the 2nd team of the clan.
  • All registrations will be studied. Admins will mainly check the structure of the teams (website, number of members, attitudes, reputations, and so on).
  • World Wide Teams are welcome to register our leagues. So the official language is english.
  • When you accept to join the leagues, you also accept the rules, the maps and every admins decisions.

League Rules

    --------- Before the match -----------

  • Poules: Teams will play versus each other. 1 round/week on TUESDAY at 20h30 PM CET. 20h30 CET is the meeting hour. Games are supposed to start at 21h at the latest. If your opponent is not showing up on IRC before 21h15, you win your game by forfeit.

  • Rescheduling: One of your team members MUST check the game page EVERYDAY if an opponent is asking you a question (to reschedule the game at a later date, to allow one driver to play, to play earlier or later than 20h30, and so on). Games page are the PRIMARY way to communicate with your opponents before Wednesday, and we most of the time base our arbitrations on what is written on the game page.

  • Promotions: Since this is the first season of the new league, divisions will be randomized. Therefore, being in D1 does not mean that you are better than a team in D5, it is just a matter of luck. You will possibly face much tougher opponents in D5 than in D1. The final standings of the UL1 will determine the division in which you will start in September, when the UL2 will start.

  • Regular season: We will make divisions of 10 teams, leading to a 9 rounds competitions, with the Round 1 on Apr 10th and the Round 9 on June 5th.

  • Map Schedule: A 9 Rounds competitions means that every TMU environment will be played 4 times at the exception of one. Since the last team competition to be played was the SL4, we decided that Bay would be the environments with 1 less map than the other (especially since Coast and Island are very different from all the other TMU environments, while Bay shares a lot of common aspects with snow and speed) Round 1: Stadium Coast Speed Round 2: Rally Bay Island Round 3: Speed Coast Snow Round 4: Stadium Rally Bay Round 5: Snow Island Coast Round 6: Bay Speed Rally Round 7: Stadium Snow Island Round 8: Coast Rally Speed Round 9: Stadium Snow Island

  • Playoffs: Depending on the number of teams registered, from 2 to 4 teams per division will be qualified for the playoffs once the regular season ends. The winner of the playoffs will be the UL1 Champion. Just like the regular season, the first 3 Round of the playoffs will take place on Tuesdays (12th June, 19th June, 26th June). The final will be played on all the environments (and on the maps played during the Round 1-3 not to cause more training) during the last weekend of June. Teams will pick a map to play one after the other. Once one of the team reaches 4 maps win, they will be proclaimed Champions.

  • Map pack: map packs will be available in "Download" every 3 rounds. Admins are doing their best to choose the best maps possible.

    --------- During the match -----------

  • Rounds: Each Tuesday at 20h30 CET, challenges consist in playing on 3 maps, one after one. Meet your opponents on IRC, 30min before the match. The games are played 3 vs 3. Players can be changed between the maps, but not during a map.

  • IRC & meeting: be sure one of your players (preferably the captain) is connected to #ET.TM on quakenet before and after any challenges, so you can decide who host, what are the servers and password names. If your opponent doesnt contact you, wait until 21h15 cet and report the situation to the admins. Your TEAM wins 3-0 by forfeit. We would like to remind all the teams that msn or icq is not the way to contact your opponent. Presence on irc during league games is MANDATORY.

  • Map order: Every week, we will have three maps played in Round with a 7 points limit. The team with the lower rankings will have the choice of the first map. The team with the higher ranking will then chose the second map. The remaining map is played last. If two teams have the same ranking, they will need to find an agreement regarding which map will be played first. If they are unable to find an agreement, the league admins will "force" the map order of the game.

  • Server Settings: Use the Team mode, alternative rules. Be sure you have a good connection when you host a game. See our tutorial in forum if you have any difficulties setting up the game server correctly.

  • Shortcuts: CAUTION: "Shortcuts are allowed as long as they're taken between 2 CP and in the good oder/way of the original track". But in the case of a player getting out of the track after an accident, it is allowed to get back on the track taking the CP in the wrong way and respawning, since the first intention was not to use a shortcut. A player getting out of the track and having to get back to the CP is in no way gaining time, so this is allowed. Only the intentional shortcuts are prohibited.

  • In game: Always do a few warm-up laps (2-3 laps at least). If you notice a lag during the warm-up, tell it. You are not supposed to start a round if you experience problems. Once everyone agrees to start the map, the map has to be played until the end. No change of players is allowed when a map is started. If a problem occurs, always take screenshots or replay as a proof and report immediately to an admin (there will always be 5-6 of us on irc during the games).

  • Upload/Download Limitation: It is NOT allowed to put the download setting to 0 during a game, in order not to have your vision blocked by other cars. It is also strictly forbidden to put the upload setting to 0, forbidding other players to see you during the game. The main reason is that such a behavior is unfair, because your car does not appear on replays taken by others, and therefore is a gate opened to cutters and cheaters of all kind. A team caught using the 0 UL setting (not appearing on replays, but well on the score page) will be forfeited for the game for which they used the trick. If the team is caught a second time, it will be banned from the league and from future competitions.

    --------- After the match -----------

  • Results: The 1st team to 7 points wins the map. The 3 maps have to be played every Tuesday.

  • Bonus point: A bonus point will eventually be awarded to the team losing 2-1 while winning an equal or superior number of runs. So, for instance, a 2-1 (7-6 7-6 1-7 or 15/21 in runs scored) scoreline will result in a 2-2 score. Therefore, when communicating the score to the admins, always give the complete scoreline when the score ends up on a 2-1. So the only possible scores will be 2-1 3-0 or 2-2 (bonus point). Report the scores to your admin on IRC as soon as the game is over.

  • Standings: Only the maps wins will determine the standings.

  • Overdue games: If a game is postponed to a later date, and both teams cannot find an agreement to play an overdue game before the season end, both teams will receive 0 points.

  • Conflicts: Laming, Cheating, Abusing, Moaning and all other bad attitudes will be stopped right away by kicking the player or the whole team out of the league. Report bad attitudes to Admins. Do not forget to join replays that could proof your accusations

  • Admins might change/add rules to improve the leagues at any time
