Read this carefully before registering your team for a championship
Registration rules:
You must enter 5 players/team minimum. Please give the email address where we can contact you anytime.
You can add or remove players any time until the 31st of August by posting on ET-Forum or contacting an admin. After that we will allow you to add players only once during the group stages. We will announce the date for that closer to the competition.
A player can play for only 1 team. A player, already playing in the league, is allowed to change team only once during a single season.
World Wide Teams are welcome to register our leagues. So the official language is english.
Maps: Admins are doing their best to choose the best maps possible. When you accept to join the leagues, you also accept the rules, the maps and every admins decisions, whether you like them or not.
League Rules
--------- Before the match -----------
Divisions: Teams will play versus each other. 1 round/week on MONDAY at 20.30 cet.
Group Stages: Teams will play on all 3 maps every week. Only the best 2 teams of each division will be qualified for the playoffs.
Playoffs: In the playoffs, players will activate a cointoss function, which should be included in Aseco and Fast by then. The team that loses the cointoss will choose their home map first, and then the team that wins will choose their home map, leaving the 3rd map as a decider map if needed. The match will start on the home map of the team that wins the cointoss.
Map pack: The maps will be released every monday evening, you'll have one week to train on them.
--------- During the match -----------
Rounds: Each Monday, you'll play a new Team on 3 normal maps, each up to 7 points. Possible scores are 3-0 or 2-1, and we have done away with bonus points. Meet your opponents on IRC, 30min before the match. Players can be changed between the maps, but not during a map.
IRC & meeting: be sure all your players are connected to #ET.TM on quakenet before and after any challenges, so you can decide who host, what are the servers and password names. If your opponent doesnt contact you by the start time, wait 30min and report the situation to the admins. Your TEAM wins 3-0 by forfeit.
Forfeits: A team that doesnt show up at all, A team that have less than 4 players available. A team that arrives more than 30min late will be forfeit ! The other team wins 3-0.
2 Forfeits in a row or 3 forfeits in total = disqualification. A disqualified team will have all the former matches modified to 0-3.
No rescheduling allowed in the Divisions (only allowed from Quarters to Final matchs)
Map order: Every week, three round maps will be played.
Server Settings: Use the Team mode, alternative rules. Point limit should be set at 7. Max points should be set to 8 pts if you are playing 4vs4, or 10 pts if you are playing 5vs5, etc. Be sure you're using a good connection when you host a game.
Shortcuts: CAUTION: "Shortcuts are allowed as long as they're taken between 2 CP and in the correct order/way that was meant in the original track".
In game: Always do a few warm-up laps (2 laps at least). If you notice a lag during the warm-up, tell it. You are not supposed to start a round if you experience problems. Once everyone agrees to start the map, the map has to be played until the end. No change of players is allowed when a map is started. If a problem occurs, always take screenshots or replay as a proof and report immediately to an admin.
--------- After the match -----------
Results: The 1st team to 7 points wins the map. All 3 maps have to be played. Possible scores are 3-0 or 2-1. We will be using a new system to register the scores.
There will be a topic on ET-Forum every week where you will be required to enter the scores of the matches in detail before Tuesday 8:30pm CET. If for some reason you had to postpone the match, you will have to post that on the same thread, otherwise any match that doesn't have the result posted on that topic by Tuesday 8:30pm CET will have a score of 0-0 entered for both teams. This is to avoid the chaos and extra work the admins had to do in previous iterations of STC.
Reports: Apart from entering the scores, players are invited to write a report on the forums after their matches, sharing their best moments, their points of view and other screens & replays. It's always a pleasure to read them !
Conflicts: Laming, Cheating, Abusing, Moaning and all other bad attitudes will be stopped right away by kicking the player or the whole team out of the league. Report bad attitudes to Admins. Don't forget to keep replays that could prove your accusations
Admins might change/add rules to improve the leagues at any time so please be sure to check back often to ensure you are up to date.
