Rule Change against Cheating | 01 March 2007, 12:40
Hello all,

We saw this coming a few weeks ago on the FET, when we started getting reports that some drivers were able to race without being seen by others on the server, and without appearing on the replays. We hoped this would remain limited to that competition before the UL1 start, for which we would have a rule in place to prevent this. But since yesterday, the trick was used in a 3 vs 3 game, we need to update the rules from all the running competitions.

Therefore, from now on and for all the ET Competitions, it will not be allowed anymore to put the Upload Setting to 0 in the launcher of the game, preventing you from appearing on the replays and to the eyes of others drivers during the race.

Because not appearing on replays = open door to cutters and cheaters
Because not being seen by others = unfair since it’s a Racing game, not a TA contest

A team using the 0 UL setting on the 3 vs 3 competitions will be losing the game by forfeit the first time. On the second offense, they will be banned from the league.
Identically, a team using the 0 UL setting for the FET will not score points for the first Round, and will be excluded on the second offense.

Reporting: If you see your opponents using the UL 0 setting, just take a screenshot where they appear in the finish score table, and a replay of the round, where you can see them standing still at the start. Send it to an admin on IRC or by email.

Thanks for your attention

SL3 Cup : Time to race | 03 December 2006, 13:55
Hi all,

As you can see, the playoff tree has been created.

Round 1 deadline is the 20th or december.
You can join your opponents on the match page to schedule the match.

Here are the Golden maps of the Round 1:
Bay: Maniac Martian (Del Nuelo - TX) (lap)
Coast: Lardustrous (JMJ - NoL) (lap)
Island: Call me old (Nanteq – eh) (lap)

The SL3 Cup will be played on TMS.

Here's a reminder of the rules for chosing the maps to be played :
The team with the lower division picks a map amongst the 18 Round maps played during the season.
The team with the higher ranking gets to pick the second map, but need to pick a map on a different environment.
So if Team A picks a Coast map, Team B will only be allowed to pick Bay or Island.
If the score is 1-1 after the two first map, the Golden map on the remaining environment will be played.
Admins will enter a score of 2-0 or 2-1 depending on if the Golden map need to be played.

Have fun during this competition.

Cec

SL3 Cup: The tree will be available tonight | 27 November 2006, 12:51
As usual, we are planning to have a little Cup, open to all the team who participated in the SL3 tournament. While the winner of the D1 is still open (since YS-pb and Da-U still need to play their game), we will create the playoff tree for the SL3 Cup later today.

The top 4 teams of the D1 will be placed in different branches of the playoff tree.

You will have 2 weeks to play your Round 1 game.

The site is back ! | 10 October 2006, 0:00
As most of you have seen, SL3 site was down since friday evening. Our host was hacked, and the whole database has been lost (backup included).
Fortunately, your loved admins have managed to create a new SL3 site, and we are currently rebuilding the old schedule to continue the league, reentering the old results, etc. D1, D2 and D3 are already back running, D4 will be back tomorrow (don't worry).
So, everyone can be reassured, the SL3 won't suffer at all :)

Your matches on wednesday can be played as if nothing happened to the site. Nothing has changed, except the URL of the site :
http://www.et-generation.com/sl3/

The only thing we now need from you is the player list for each team. That's the only data we can't find by ourselves. Post it here, or send the list to vautour@et-generation.com

Don't forget to train for wednesday, and have fun then :)

You find the Map Pack for Round 4-6 here: http://et-generation.com/sl3/maps/round4to6.rar.
Here, as reminder, are the maps for Round 5 and Round 6

Round 5 :
Maya (NBAA)
Those Lazy Crazy Hazy Days (Nanteq)
Braykin (Broken)

Round 6 :
FB Monopark (Fireball)
Final Check (Masp)
Death Alley (Gued)

Breaking News: Merger in D1 | 08 October 2006, 17:04
As you might have noticed, due to a lack of available drivers, the YS was not able to play one single game so far this season. Therefore, they have decided to merge with the Pb team in order to built a more solid D1 Franchise.

As a consequence, there will now be not 1 but 2 Ghost teams in D1.

-----

Furthermore, the XP team in D4 forfeited, and will be ghosted if they are unable to show up next week. They will also furthermore be excluded from all the following leagues or competition we might organise.

Finally, it also seems that the TMA might also retire from the competition after a second loss in a row on Wednesday. More about this in the coming days. So far, we still have hope they might reverse their decision, but if they don't, welcome to ghost land.

See you in Round 3

SL3 REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN | 08 October 2006, 16:50
The holidays are now officially over, as we are opening the registrations for the Sunrise League 3.

The program for the upcoming weeks is the following.

4-13 september: registrations
13 september: release of the first map pack
14 or 15 september: creation of the divisions and schedules
20 september: Round 1

The season is expected to last 7 to 9 weeks depending on the number of team who will sign in. The map selection process is about to be completed, and we definitely expect to have some quality maps for this season.

Main changes compared to SL2:
- we get back to 3 environments / week. we will therefore not play on Stadium
- the bonus point system (tested during the LE7 and the GC4) will also be used for the SL3 (see rules for more details)
- the lap map will now last 7 points instead of 5, but the length of the lap maps will not be above 2 minutes.
- 6 players are needed to register a team (compared to 8 for SL2).

That's all for now. Happy registering to all of you.
