One more rule for the multilap - NC3-IR_Mafia-C | 02 November 2007, 19:17
It is not allowed to drive backwards at the start to get the boost, so just drive normal ;)

If a player will do it, his team will loose the map with 0-5:)

Captains Interview Corner vol.2 | 26 October 2007, 21:13

Portugal vs Austria
Dekay(POR) - PeZi(AUT)
Interviewer: Bergie

Hello AUT and POR!! The NC3 started three weeks ago, and now the playoffs is about to begin. How do you feel your team has done so far?

Dekay: Well, so far i've been really happy with my team's performance, we accomplished our main goals (qualifying in first place) and on top of that we've been developing our strategic ability during matches, using our heads a lot more than we used to.

PeZi: we reached the playoffs, so we did quite good and we are happy to be here.

Looking at your opponents team, how do you think they will fare against yours? What do you see as their strengths/weaknesses?

Dekay: Austria is a very good team with great players. In terms of skill i think we are about at the same level but i don't know very well if they are very consistent or not in rounds. We have played a friendly match last week against them (3vs3) and although no one was really well trained it was a pretty close and fun match. All in all i think the match will be decided for the team who has the greatest nerve.

PeZi: They got lots of good players in their team, like Rew1nd and dekay, very quick and consistent players so it will be very hard to win but we wont give up so fast 

What are your goals now as you’ve reached the playoffs?

Dekay: We are a very ambitious group of players so our goals are the same now as they were in the beginning of the tournament : to win every match we have to play.

PeZi: The most important for us is, that we give our Best and are well trained for our next opponents, if we lose and we played good then its Ok.

Who is your favourite to win NC3, and explain why.

Dekay: I suppose i'll have to say France, they have an amazing group of players and a lot of experience. Besides them i think Germany as always is very strong. Then there are quite a few nations that can do it for sure, if they find the necessary motivation for it.

PeZi: France, Cause they won 2 times already and got one of the Strongest lineups.

Anything else you want to add to sum up this interview?

Dekay: Yes I'd like to thank all the tourney organization crew that have worked to make this possible once again (admins, track builders etc), as well as other important tournaments. You are partially responsible for keeping the community alive and i hope you can continue doing it. For all those that don't play this game for money, these (NC and STC) are the best and most motivating tournaments around. On another note i'd like to wish good luck to every team and above all i hope that everyone has as much fun as i do. Força Portugal 

PeZi: we wish all teams of nc3 playoffs good luck, may the best team win!

Captains Interview Corner | 26 October 2007, 21:11
As people already know, there are some powerful team that clash together already in the first round of playoffs. The ET-dream team have interview four captains from four different teams, and here is the result of the interview:

Smackbury(AUS) - Twarxy(NED)
Interviewer: RedStorm

Question 1:
Hello NED and AUS! The NC3 started three weeks ago, and now the playoffs is about to begin. How do you feel your team has done so far?
Question 2:
Looking at your opponents team, how do you think they will fare against yours? What do you see as their strengths/weaknesses?
Question 3:
What are your goals now as you've reached the playoffs?
Question 4:
Who is your favourite to win NC3? Explain why excactly that team.
Question 5:
Anything else you want to add to sum up this interview?

Answer 1 ( AUS ) :
I guess we've had mixed feelings throughout the group stages. However, to get through the group stages is a great result for us. After our game against Sweden we felt a bit down. Not only was it our first ever Nations Cup match, but for some it was really our first time ever to play a team match and we felt that we had alot more to give. Which we showed in our match against France. To get a map against the champions was a win for us. To decimate Lithuania like we did (and see Rich play his first match ever) was a good confidence boost coming into the playoffs.

Answer 1 ( Ned ): I shouldn’t complain, because we won all three matches. But if I look to my team as a teamcaptain, I think we can do so much better. We do have so much talent and skills in our team, if we use these together then we are much stronger.

Answer 2 ( AUS ) :
What can/can't be said about their lineup, Xeno, the ESWC champion for one sits as the ace in their pack. However, one player doesn't make up the team, they have a nice list to back up Xeno. Roy, Murdock, Sky, Zooz and tK are such names that come to mind. I think their weakness might come from underestimating our team. We've had a few weeks to gel and blow away those cobwebs. We're really raring for this one and have a full lineup to pick from.

Answer 2 ( Ned ):
I think we can win this match, but we must don’t underestimate Australia. They
surprised everybody with the result of the match against France ( 1 - 2). So I look
forward to our match and it will be a very interesting one.

Answer 3 ( AUS ) :
Winning, to put it bluntly, would be our goal now. Our real goal was just to get through the group stages and now that we've done that, anything more is just a bonus. We're a real chance of getting through, so who knows.

Answer 3 ( Ned ):
We want to win as much as possible. It’s hard to say how far we can come, but I will
be very happy if we can reach the finals of NC3.

Answer 4 ( AUS ) :
It's ironic. 3 weeks ago I used my tipping guile to say the Netherlands would win NC3. I can't say that anymore, for obvious reasons, lol. Norway has possibly the easiest path towards the final, so possibly them. However, I think the winner will come out of the top half, and possibly out of Germany and France. Assuming they both make the semi-finals, that will be a match to savor.

Answer 4 ( Ned ):
I don’t really have a favourite team, but France has very good players and I think they
are going to win.

Answer 5 ( AUS ) :
All your base are belong to AUS! Good luck to all teams in the finals. Scrounchhhhhh.Oh and can someone get at least 2-1 against France. We'll feel bad if it was only us to get a map against them.

Answer 5 ( Ned ): Good Luck to all teams ;)
