Read this carefully before registering for the GC6 TMN Edition.

The GC6 TMN is a Rounds mode competition. There are 2 separate tournaments to qualify for the playoffs.

The dates of the tournaments are as follows:

Tournament A - 1 Weekend tournament played on Saturday May 3.
Tournament B - 1 Weekend tournament played on Sunday May 11.
Playoffs - 1 Weekend tournament played on Sunday May 18.

Registration rules:
  • You can only register for one of the qualifying tournaments. So you will need to pick carefully which tournament you register for.
  • 128 spots will be open for each of the individual tournaments, and a waiting list will be open on the forum for late registration.
  • You NEED to use the forum to unregister in the case you cant make the date(s). The message on the forum has to be posted 3 days before Tournament day. Failing to show up to a tournament for which you registered will cause you to be ghosted and disqualified.
  • Furthermore, we will prevent people from abusing this system (registering for multiple tournaments).
  • You NEED to register to the competition using this format: Tournament (A/B) - Name which you will use to play the match. Players not registered in this format will be replaced with a player from the waiting list.
  • When you accept to join the GC6, you also accept the rules, the maps and every admins’ decisions.

Tournament Rules

    --------- Before the match -----------

  • Game Version: - Make sure you are using Trackmania Nations/United Forever - NOT TM NATIONS ESWC as you will be unable to play the maps in this competition
  • Servers – Group Phases: Servers will be created by one of the group with the best connection. Use the warm up time to test to connection to see if it is playable. If not change the host. Dedicated servers can also be used here
  • Servers – Semi Finals and above: The match will take place on dedicated servers, to allow for spectators and streaming. Details of these will be posted into the days leading up to the playoffs.
  • Meeting: All the drivers are supposed to meet on their arranged servers 10 mins before the start time. There will be an admin present on IRC.
  • Start hourThe Individual matches of the qualifying rounds will be set as follows:

    These matches cannot be delayed to keep the strict time schedule.
  • Map pack: The maps will be released 1 week before the tournament is live. You will get A maps on 26 April and B maps on May 4. They will contain the 3 maps for each tournament.
  • Delays: Each match that is played will have a 15 min grace period for late arrivals. If not all players are present after the 15 minutes are up that player will be disqualified. In the case of only 2 players being present they will automatically qualify for the next round.

    --------- During the match -----------

  • Rounds: The 4 Players will drive the maps until one player reaches 41 points.
  • Scoring system: The standard Rounds system will be used. After 3 maps is played the results will be tallied and each player will be ranked for that match.
  • Map order: The map order will be posted a week before on the main news page.
  • Shortcuts: CAUTION: "Shortcuts are allowed as long as they're taken between 2 CP and in the good order/way of the original track".
  • In game: The matches start at 14:00 CET for qualifying.
  • End Round>: Players will be required to take screenshots after each round.
  • Conflicts: Laming, Cheating, Abusing, Moaning and all other bad attitudes will be stopped right away by kicking the player out of the competition. Report bad attitudes to Admins. Do not forget to send replays that could prove your accusations.

    --------- After the match -----------

  • Results: The admins (Rax, Bergie, Zell and Maxou) will gather all the scores and screenshots. The top two players in each match will go through to the next round. At the end of the 3 rounds, 16 players in each tournament will be qualified for the playoffs.

Playoffs

  • The 32 drivers at the top of the Overall Standing at the end of each tournament will qualify for the playoff stage. This year is is taking on a winner and loser bracket.
  • A pack of the playoff maps will be released on May 10. These will contain 2 maps from Tournament A and B plus 2 new ones
