| Playoff Changes, Map Pack | 30 August 2007, 18:33 |
There has been a slight change in the way the playoffs are held. Instead of having 4 rounds, there will only be 3 rounds this time. Also the amount of maps that you will have to train have been cut in half from 12 to 6. The reason for this is that training 12 maps is way too much for the most of you and it is entirely possible that some players will have qualified for TMU and TMN GC5 playoff spots.
The event is still taking place over the weekend with round 1/2 on Saturday 8, and the final on the 9th.
So to get to the final you only have to win 2 rounds instead of 3. and the amount of players is still 1v1v1v1.
First round = 32 players
Second round = 16 players
Final = 4 players
5-8 Final = 4 players
On sunday there will be two games, the Final and the second final for the second ranked players in each game in round 2 (this is to offset the reduced number of rounds)

GC5-Yoshi-Island (Kanye)
GC5-OupsS (RaminoJr)

It is in everyones best interest to make sure you get screenshots of the end of round scores - this is so in the event of a tie/dispute we can resolve it.
You can upload them to imageshack / any other image hosting site, or send us a rar file of all the screenshots.

The tree is available.
It has been created with a system of seeds, to avoid some troubles.
Try to get in touch with your opponents to find who can host, to be sure to have a hoster for the game. Being present on IRC will help you to contact your opponents. You can also use the forum if needed.

For example zell would register C - Zell as he wants to play in tournament C.
