And even though it was obvious from the start that Zooz was the man to beat (especially since Lolomax and Paf withdrew from the competition), all the drivers fought fiercely during this final. StadiumSandder started like a bullet on Stadium, winning almost every run while Zooz came in second on most races. But the action was between Sandder and Davidd, since there was only a 4 points difference before the map. And before the last run, Sandder was in front of Davidd by only 2 points. He is going to be a very nice addition for the LM team for the upcoming UL2. THEREFORE, the cut on Snow and on Rally will be prohibited, since i won't have the time to check about them before the Round 1 starts tonight. Players taking the cuts will receive penalties. - 1st time: no point for the run - 2nd time: no point for the map - 3rd time: no point at all (disqualified) ps: we never allow cuts which are completly changing the shape of a map. we usually allowed - intentionnal cuts by the mapper - completly random or extremely difficult cuts, because, good luck to those trying to take them with some regularity in game. YS-TP Roadster won the final tournament with a 1526 score, but this is probably slightly misleading since there was much less opposition on tournament 9 when comparing to the previous 3 tournaments. All the players aiming for a top 30 spot came around yesterday and most of the managed to get more than 1000 points on the night. But the victory for this tournament came back to (surprise surprise) CMC Blatie, who overwhelmed his server, and managed to score the most points of the season, being the first to reach the 1600 points mark. No perfect score was recorded over the 4 game servers, but Blatie and Lolomax were the closest ones, scoring 245 points, respectively on Bay and Snow. The other top 10 entry was made by Maka, who finished the regular season at the 10th place. Maoul end in 13th position, while Supayop (15th), Blatie (18th) and Cyrlaur (20th) are also in the top 20. Note that Blatie is currently on pace to jump into the first place in the standings if he manages to score more than 1410 points in his final tournament. Between 1900 and 2000 points will be needed to get to the playoff after the final tournament, which will take place next Monday. With two more tournaments to go, there is definitely not much time left to score enough points in order to reach the playoffs. With the CMC armada away for one week, the other team were given an opportunity to shine. And all three servers delivered very close results. Only seven drivers came above the 1000 points mark, but no less than thirteen scored between 700-1000, which means that tournament 7 was probably the toughest tournament so far in the season. Diablo and Ikar only faced 5 others drivers on server C, and seized the opportunity to score a lot of points, with Diablo even approaching the 1500 mark. On Server A & B, Maka and Roadster showed the best consistency, and ended above the 1250 mark. And to complete the top 5, Cibermix confirmed its outsider status with a very nice 1149 points. Furthermore, Tannis was the only driver to make a perfect score, after he won all the runs on Stadium. Only 4 drivers managed to get into the TOP 20 this week after completing their third and final tournament. Diablo jumped from the 25th to the 6th place after winning tournament 7. Cibermix was almost as impressive, going from the 23rd to the 9th place in the standings. Thanks to a very strong third tournament, 2FAST4U Florent jumped 19 spots, going from place 31 to place 12. Finally, SQ-One gained 14 spots, from place 28 to place 14. Over the last two tournaments, you can expect players like Quiksilver, Lolomax, Roadster, Vince, Maka, Maoul, Supayop, Blatie, Babar, Ikar, Bigboo or Selrahc to make pushes in the standings in order to get as high as possible before the playoffs. The last two tournaments of the summer are going to be challenging for all these drivers. First off, as usual, a rapid overview of what happened during T5. After winning the Tournament 4 with 1400 points, Zooz scored 1480 points this time (with 6 scores above 200 points !!), and is now clearly in Paf’s trail for the overall leadership. Cerniera, Cibermix, Kent1 and Davidd completed the top 5, while no less than 10 drivers ended up above the 1000 points mark. And the 21 map pack is available following the following link: GC5 Map Pack. Do not forget to only register to a tournament if you (1) like the maps for that week (2) are sure to be present If you do not show up on game day, you will lose one of your 3 Tournaments. If you announce before noon on Tournament day that you won't be there, you will not lose a Tournament spot, but you won't be able to register for the next Tournament. Either way, you'll be penalised if you sign up while not being sure to be present. Registrations will be opened later today, and the map pack will also be made available, as well as the complete map schedule for the 9 tournaments of the season. First of all, I would like you to read VERY carefully the rules of this tournament, since there will be many many many changes compared to the previous editions of the competition. To sum up the main changes: - the GC5 is no longer a 1 vs 1 competition, but a Round mode competition. - 9 tournaments will be organised over the summer (from Wed July 11th to Mon Sep 3rd), Tournaments 1-3 on Wednesdays, Tournaments 4-6 on Tuesdays, and Tournaments 7-9 on Mondays. - Each driver will be allowed to play a maximum of 3 Tournaments - Tournament will start at 20h30 CET. An admin will be present on each server to ensure that all the competition start more or less at the same time. You can still join late and play rightaway, but you will somehow lose points for the runs on which you were not present. - Each will be played every week, 10 run on each map, and people will score points for every run they finish. - 5 servers containing 16 spots will be open every Tournament Day, meaning we will have room for 80 drivers every week. - A registered driver who would fail to show up will get 0 points. You will need to unregister on the forum before 12 AM on tournament date. - We will also restrict the abuse which might occur (people systematically registering 1 week in advance only to drop out at 11 AM on Tournament day) by preventing the drivers who unregister to sign in for the next tournament. - The repartition of drivers between the 5 servers will be announced between 14-16h CET on Tournament day, so people will be aware of which server they need to join. - The name on which you register must be recognizable by the admin in charge of the server. If you register under a name, and show up on the server using another name, the admin will kick you out. - Scoring points on the server will be the Moto GP method: 25-20-16-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-1-1 - At the end of the 9 tournaments, the 64 best TMU drivers will be qualified for the playoffs, which will take place on Sept 10 (Round 1) and Sept 11th (Final).
