| Rule Change against Cheating | 01 March 2007, 12:40 |
Hello all,
We saw this coming a few weeks ago on the FET, when we started getting reports that some drivers were able to race without being seen by others on the server, and without appearing on the replays. We hoped this would remain limited to that competition before the UL1 start, for which we would have a rule in place to prevent this. But since yesterday, the trick was used in a 3 vs 3 game, we need to update the rules from all the running competitions.
Therefore, from now on and for all the ET Competitions, it will not be allowed anymore to put the Upload Setting to 0 in the launcher of the game, preventing you from appearing on the replays and to the eyes of others drivers during the race.
Because not appearing on replays = open door to cutters and cheaters
Because not being seen by others = unfair since it’s a Racing game, not a TA contest
A team using the 0 UL setting on the 3 vs 3 competitions will be losing the game by forfeit the first time. On the second offense, they will be banned from the league.
Identically, a team using the 0 UL setting for the FET will not score points for the first Round, and will be excluded on the second offense.
Reporting: If you see your opponents using the UL 0 setting, just take a screenshot where they appear in the finish score table, and a replay of the round, where you can see them standing still at the start. Send it to an admin on IRC or by email.

Hi there!
Due to the small player count in Group D, E, and F, we decided, to split Group F, and join the teams into the upper Groups.
This means, that there is no Group F anymore, and Group C, D, E are completely full again. Please teams from Group F see, where your team got and join the right server next week.
Also, to fit the scores into the groups, we reduced the points of all Group F teams by 3/4 (because due to the small team count, they could score way more easily). For example RC-1 was reduced from 109 points to 83, to fit the Group C level, etc.
We hope, that you all have fun next week with way more full races (and not with just 10 players), as it was meant to be in this league.
We have now 5 full groups and hope, there are no further forfeits.

While we're calculating the Round 2 scores, you can already download the mappack for Round 3:

We would also like to remember you, not to leave the server, before all players finished the race. If you do, you don't appear in the final score table, and we are not able to make a proper screen.
From Round 3, it will be 0 points for everyone, who left the server.

First a comment: The CUT at the start of the stadium map (cutting the 270° corner) is forbidden, according to the Cutting Rules (taking a CP in wrong direction)!
Also, due to the complains and several cuts and bugs, we decided to update the rally map. Here's the fix:

You'll easily recognize the difference, since the mood changed from dusk to daylight. Please on Sunday check, if the server hosts the right map.

| Confirmations Closed! - 3 Slots from Reserve List! | 02 February 2007, 12:06 |
The confirmation for normal teams has been closed! The final divisions have been created!
There are still 3 slots available in the 6th group! Team Captains of the Reserve List can use this thread to confirm their registrations! The first three responses will get the three slots for the main round. All others stay on the reserve list to replace forfeiting teams during the season. Please also confirm though.

| Reserve List - Registrations Open | 27 January 2007, 12:12 |
Due to the continuing questions for FET1 registrations, we opened the registrations again for a Reserve Group.
You can register for it as usual. If there are 10 more registrations for the Reserve Group until tournament starts, we will turn it into a full division - Group G. If not, the group stays a Reserve Group, that means that you pleay for fun and don't get points in there, or just few, and if a team forfeits during the championship (there will probably be many teams already not appearing for Round 1), you can replace this team in its original group.
This is the only solution we see to allow further teams to participate after the groups were already created.

Off we go, for the first season of Formula ET - the new league concept for you!
We changed the rules a little bit, to support the fights for places 9-20 in the backfield, so now everybody, who finishes the race inbetween the time limit, will get points.
Also we made a screenshot with the serversettings for you.

Just 2 more weeks to go until the first race. That means, the first mappack will be relased next Sunday, and will contain the two maps for the first weekend of the season, covering Bay and Desert.
We won't close the registrations until the groups are created! So still an infinite amount of teamslots available!
